Balchem Corporation, #64 on Forbes 200 Best Small Companies List, is currently seeking an Applications Manager to join our Food, Pharma and Nutrition team in the Corporate Headquarters of our publicly-held company.
You will be providing technical expertise on the functionality and benefits of Balchem encapsulated ingredients within the processed food industry, as well as coordinating the team efforts of food scientists in support of the Food and Nutrient business segment’s strategic objectives.
Some of the key responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop technical information on the application of Balchem encapsulated products
- Provide on-going training and technical support to sales team on existing and new applications
- Market development and product promotion
- Mentor junior scientists and technicians in Applications Lab
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Possess a MS degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field
- 2-10 years experience in ingredient applications work with a strong understanding of ingredient technology an food processing operations
- Experience with sensory methodology
- Prior supervisory experience
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks
