To coordinate the operation of the production department lines under the direct supervision of the department manager.
The duties of this position are those described below. This job description does not state or imply that the duties listed are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by management.
Must have experience using Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to monitor production performance.
Food Production Experience preferred
Ensure that all processing activities are in conformance with product specifications.
Serve as a liaison between department managers and hourly employees.
Assures that all products are being produced in conformance with the GMP’s.
Schedule work assignments, vacations, and days off for the hourly employees.
Responsible for assessing the needs and provide training to employees and document training.
Responsible for conducting monthly safety and quality sessions as required and keep adequate documented records.
Perform and documented daily supervisor audits.
Resolve team conflict and issue documented disciplinary actions and recognition.
Set specific and measurable goals for department’s continuous improvement
Follow GMP’s and Safety standards always.
Accountable for ensuring that all safety policies and regulations are enforced, by issuing disciplinary actions.
Responsible for safety training, enforcement of safety rules/policies as well as drug control policy.
Maintaining a safe work environment by conducting formal inspections that includes work orders & follow up.
Injury and illness reporting within 24 hours and analysis/investigations within 48 Hrs.
