World-class and internationally known manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for their facility in Goldsboro, NC. Please read the description below in its entirety and don't hesitate to apply.
*Must be able to work any shift. These are not rotating shifts, though flexibility is paramount.
Salaried, Annual Bonus, Excellent Relocation Package available if needed.
The Production Supervisors ensures the plant operates smoothly, safely and efficiently to produce a quality product that meets the needs of the customer
Supervises daily production team by confirming, delegating, coordinating and informing crew of the processing of orders
Works with team to produce all orders while maintaining or exceeding departmental KPIs (e.g. waste, moistures, efficiencies, downtime, line speed, over weights, etc.) & meeting customer and company specifications
Ensures all quality specifications are followed and issues corrective actions on non-conforming product.
Effectively communicates company, plant, and department priorities across all levels
Communicates any issues during shift, across all levels, as appropriate (e.g. production orders, safety hazards, etc.)
Enforces company, plant and departmental policies and procedures and work instructions including but not limited to safety policies, GMPs, HACCP standards, and AIB standards.
Hires, trains, counsels, monitors work, assigns work, disciplines and terminates employees.
Orients new employees and trains on department-related activities.
Provides feedback at regular intervals to team members & conducts performance evaluations of assigned team members.
Identifies training and developmental needs necessary and conducts required training for assigned employee group.
Appropriately handles employee concerns and complaints.
Conducts pre-shift and shift-change meetings with appropriate team members to communicate issues, concerns and information.
Performs walkthroughs of production areas with leads, focusing on equipment performance, product quality, housekeeping, safety, and foods safety.
Schedules team to meet production goals, including approving and scheduling team member vacations.
Maintains Kronos schedules, timecards, and prepare all HR – related paperwork, including disciplinary actions, ESNs, Attendance Forms, etc.
Maintains teamwork, consistency, and fairness among all employees to foster a positive work environment within the department, plant and entire organization.
Ensures all food safety principles, legal requirements, and operational processes have been applied effectively to include education, knowledge, awareness, and application.
Participates actively in LEAN, process improvement and other company initiatives.
Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility preferably within a food manufacturing environment with 2 years’ experience in a lead capacity.
*Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Experience in a leadership role
Communication & Training Skills
Good Math Skills
Experience with Kronos and SAP a strong plus.
Experience with 5s or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
