Here's an excellent  Regional DC Operations Manager position with a prominent and growing food-centered company!

DC Regional Operations Manager -  Perishable Foods - $100-115,000 plus bonus - excellent benefits - paid relocation

Manage 2 DC locations totaling 425K sq. ft. with 3 temp zones and 50 docks receiving and distributing 50mm frozen and perishable cases annually,
supplying multiple retail grocery locations.  Manage a Quality Control team of 35. 
Responsibilities of the Distribution Manager - Perishable Foods:

•  Manage the regional quality control of all frozen and perishable distribution operations to ensure accuracy on all receiving and shipping functions.

•  Oversee quality control, loss prevention, worker safety and asset protection, food safety, sanitation, quality standards for stored product
   and 3rd party warehouse audits.

•  Inspect produce deliveries to ensure product adheres to contract and USDA specifications.  Approve or reject deliveries in accordance with
   Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) procedures.

•  Manage a Quality Control team of 35.  Provide guidance, communication, support a positive work environment, hire, train and develop
   new team members and manage the HR policies and procedures.

•  Manage budget formulation process, expenses, labor costs and increase productivity.

•  Manage inventory and receiving discrepancies and ensure corrections prior to shipment, implement controls to limit shipment errors.

•  Liaise between third-party suppliers in merchandising, transportation and inventory control to resolve issues.
Qualifications for the Distribution Manager - Perishable Foods:

•  BS/BA or AS.

•  5+ years’ management experience with Perishables, Meat, Frozen, Produce in a food distribution environment.

•  Experienced in managing a workforce of 30+.

•  Knowledgeable of managing budgets, food safety, sanitation, quality standards, USDA specifications and
   Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) procedures.

•  Travel 25%.  East Coast facilities.  5 day work week, flexible work schedule.

Compensation for the Regional Distribution Manager:
$100-115,000 plus 8% bonus potential, sign-on bonus for relocation, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Company Match on 401K Plan, PTO.
