JOB TITLE: Corporate Quality Operations Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director, Quality
STATUS: Exempt
JOB PURPOSE:
This position supports the daily operations for the corporate quality team improving their effectiveness of quality systems and programs. It focuses on maintaining, executing, and troubleshooting routine work processes within the corporate quality department that currently cause disruption and delays to the implementation of process improvements needed to support the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND INFLUENCE:
- Lead management of Corporate Quality documents, records and specifications work processes for effective control and facilitate ease of use and accessibility. Manage primarily within SharePoint critical policies, documents, and records. Facilitate annual review and updates of these elements per CM requirements. Identify new or improved processes to collect feedback and maintenance of policies, procedures or programs. Ensure compliance to corporate retention guidelines.
- Facilitate co-packer reporting requirements, including KPI reporting and tracking, creation and distribution of co-packer complaint charts and summaries, tracking and reporting of improvement requirements and general communication of new expectations. Create and manage supplier performance reports based on DMR data and improvement opportunities
- Lead co-packer and supplier documentation management, including specifications, Food Safety Surveys and Third Party Audits. Also provide support for co-packer product specification development and revisions as well as management and communication of change orders and BOM’s. Requires working cross functionally to coordinate information gathering, especially R&D, Packaging and Change Management
- Lead initial review quality systems and food safety requirements for new supplier or ingredients approval process. Identify gaps and support the team to address issues.
- Coordinate specific Corporate Quality customer communication processes, such as audit status questions, customer concerns, etc. Ensure responses are timely and appropriate and records are properly maintained.
- Coordinate CM quality audit processes – point person to schedule internal and external audits, provide pre-audit support, provide follow up for post-audit documentation and corrective actions status. Develop and implement maintenance documents and records structure to sustain CM’s audit processes.
- Provide support and general maintenance of Process Quality protocols by reviewing and updating in InfinityQS new test methods, manufacturing control plan updates, new sku’s and on-going new sku support for net weight control within InfinityQS
- Assist with management of Material Disposition through SharePoint work process. Audit for stalled execution of dispositions, timely sign offs and closure of dispositions as well as identify improvement opportunities. Provide support across Supplier Performance program and link with Material Disposition process

- Experience with quality improvement techniques and tools – Six Sigma, Lean, statistical analysis, etc.
- Experience conducting quality audits is beneficial
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of holistic process thinking to meet internal and external customer needs
- Knowledge of federal regulations and government agencies (FDA, USDA), state and local agency experience
Personal and Social Competence
- Works well under pressure situations and tight timelines
- Willingness to travel as needed
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS or higher in Food Science, Biology or related degree
- 1+ years’ experience preferably with plant related experience.
- Technical knowledge of food safety, quality systems, processing and packaging systems
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint
