Angus McIntosh Sr. has opened Iris restaurant in downtown Canton's new Art District. Located at 228 Fourth St NW, Iris will feature American Food, American Wine and (live) American Music. This combination will create a fun, comfortable and affordable downtown experience.
"I am thrilled to be a part of the revitalization of downtown Canton," says Chef McIntosh. With a completely new look, new menu and restroom facilities on the main floor, McIntosh is looking forward to creating great food that is reasonably priced. "We want a place where we see our friends twice a week, not just on special occasions."
Artfully decorated with family pictures as well as original art by Iris McIntosh, Angus' aunt, the patron will also be greeted with tantalizing smells from ripening McIntosh apples, simmering stock and grilling meats. The new restaurant will feature a seasonal menu, with specials that will change daily. The full service bar will feature signature cocktails, domestic and imported beers as well as an extensive American wine list that will feature wines by the glass, carafe and bottle. "In addition to a fantastic lunch and dinner destination, Iris will be a great after hours spot, either post theater, on the way home, as well as for our friends in the hospitality industry," says McIntosh.
